Meet MeHi my name is Cindy El "Eljamrah".
I'm a second year studying Political Sciences, pursuing Drama as a double major and a minor in Entrepreneurship. One of my passions is art, ranging from dance to music. My other passion is advocating. I have spent the last two years focused on advocating for students voices on a state and federal level through positions in ASUCI. As a woman in these spaces I have found ASUCI leadership has discredited decisions of female identifying students. Women are not given respect within these spaces. I can only imagine what other minority groups go through as they navigate their undergraduate experiences. The work that I do will include these voices and make space for them. I will lead with compassion and empathy for all the voices. |
I've worked at a State and Federal level for our student voice to be heard.
Allow me the opportunity to work at our University level to advocate with students, for students.
I joined Pi Beta Phi in Fall of 2019.
I have been able to serve as the lifelong director within my time in Pi Phi. This has given my leadership experience that I am able to still learn and gain from. Being in Pi Beta Phi, I am fortunate to be apart of a community of women that care and support one another. One of the most valuable things I have gained personally is female empowerment. Within the greek life community I've come to see the importance of female empowerment to help uplift one another's voice within our community and everywhere we have go. Fighting for inclusivity for all and having a voice within all spaces became prominent issues the community has stood for. I have used this year to work with my community to better find ways to serve UCI. |
